Agree that "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" is nauseating for several reasons, but I will say that the cultural & class distinctions of "Chicagoland" are nowhere better evoked than by setting this film against "The Blues Brothers": made only 5 years apart & yet they take place in utterly different worlds.

The only comparable "Northshore" contender would be "Risky Business" which is also awful & despicable but in a less viscerally grating way imo.

Every person I’ve ever met who says Boondock Saints is their favorite movie has been a complete asshole.

I haven't seen Devil's Rejects, and I can definitely understand why one would despise Boondock Saints and Ace Ventura, but what was it about Ferris Bueller you despised?

I found the main character deeply unlikable and the side characters not much better.
