is this something they do for when it's too hot? I thought there was some kind of thing where if you shaved them they get skin problems. or maybe that was breed-specific, idk?
Chloe has very fine fur and she’s elderly w arthritis, so she doesn’t groom herself well and grooming her on my own w a brush is hard on her hips. In the summer I get her a thorough groom and shave so she’s comfortable for the hot months and it gets rid of any mats for six months.
