the rogue prince of persia shows promise, but unlucky timing and expectations get in the way - a hit roguelite by the same devs, a saturation of the genre and the early access model, and the lost crown's release earlier this year are (unfairly) against it.

many devs continue to see early access as the go-to model. sure, it’s worked well for dead cells back in 2017, but things have changed since - committing a studio to weekly updates for the foreseeable future to keep up with its community doesn’t sound sustainable.
