New Purple Stuff Podcast! Join us as we relive the glory of an early '90s bowling alley. You will never find a more wretched hive of fun and gluttony. Listen here: dinosaurdracula.com/blog/bowling-show/
One of the strangest things I own is this McDonald's McSalad Shakers counter display, from 2000. Included are three full-sized McSalad Shakers, filled with fake food that looks alarmingly real.
I haven't been on here in forever and I'm hoping to change that, so let's start with trusty self-promotion. New Purple Stuff Podcast! Listen to us dive into a 1990 network television broadcast of Little Shop of Horrors: dinosaurdracula.com/blog/little-...
Hey! The latest Purple Stuff Podcast is live, and we're diving into the legendary 1986 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. This was one for the books! Listen here: dinosaurdracula.com/blog/1986-ma...
Flashback to when the Joker appeared at the 1989 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. (Doing a float based on the scene in Batman where the Joker gassed Gotham was definitely a choice!)
Thematic coffee cups. Junk mail catalogs that charge $250 for precooked turkeys. Sunday newspapers as thick as my head. Sweater weather, dead leaves and a parade filled with inflatable kaiju. I love November.
I’ve tried roasting pumpkin seeds several times over the years. It’s never gone well. Finally got it right tonight by using this recipe from @dinosaurdracula.bsky.social. Tasty!
Happy Halloween! I've been quietly updating the site regularly for the past two months, so if you feel like reading spooky junk, now is probably the right day to do it.

If anyone needs a Halloween spirit boost, the latest Purple Stuff Podcast is a deep dive into the 1987 TV broadcast of Disney's DTV Monster Hits, where pop music met Disney's spookiest cartoons. Listen here: dinosaurdracula.com/blog/disney-...
Here's a rare photo of a Pepsi / Doritos Halloween store display, from 1996. That year, they partnered with Goosebumps to give mini-books out to anyone who bought soda and chips. I love it when the supermarket doubles as a haunt.
It's so weird to be updating the site daily but almost never plugging it. Weird in a good way, though. I didn't get to have a Blogspot era; I guess these few months are my version.
I'm extremely into daily to-do lists these days. Most basic tip ever, but if you're scatterbrained like me, give it a shot. My efficiency way improved after I gave myself the chance to add strikethroughs over a bullet list all day.
What's the read on Threads nowadays? I've barely opened the app since that initial push. It just never felt cozy or comfortable, for lack of better words. Certainly not an engagement issue; I have way more followers there than here. But it just felt weirdly hollow. Anyone having a good exp there?
Halloween the Cat compensates for his inability to walk/climb like a typical cat by being very, very vocally demanding. Like at night he'll yell to be put on the bed, and then yell again until I realize he wants to be under the blanket. If I miss either of these cues, he gets *really* ticked off.
I'm late to the party like usual, but you can count me as another proponent of those LED strips. They're so good, and so easy! This was just a basic cheap kit, practically as low as you can go, and I still love it. (And then I ordered 3 more sets, which are supposed to arrive today, yay.)
I'm selling Envelopes of Evil. They're not really evil, but they are full of spooky things. It's like getting a whole weird Halloween library, all at once. They're around 80% sold out, but if you want one, here's the deets: dinosaurdracula.com/blog/envelop...
Longshot question, because Googling is no help. I have two Macbooks. Both work, but one has a busted black screen. I have a thunderbolt cable to connect them. I just want some of the files on the busted Macbook, but nothing I've tried has let me grab them. Any ideas?
I haven't been on here for a while and if you want the truth, it's bc I somehow dropped a couch leg-first through my laptop screen, had to buy a new one, and lost all my passwords. Anyway, I'm writing about random Halloween junk on Dino Drac every day until 10/31, if interested! dinosaurdracula.com
