The Welsh language, like all Celtic languages, has a very recent history of violent marginalisation by anglophones and quite frankly you know what by also being anglos you are proactive participants in it when you contribute to a culture of denigrating and mocking it

Star Wars quite lazily borrowed/stole names and terms out of a bunch of different languages, including Welsh, as Hollywood often does. That's one of the reasons people from small and marginalized cultures get accused of having Star Wars names.
It's also never a fucking original joke, either. If it were it might actually be funny, but nope, has to be something that's been done twenty thousand times before.
