WHO et al may have “declared” the pandemic ended, but the virus never left, despite much of the world behaving as though it did.
It’s going through the city I live in, but of course hardly anybody’s wearing masks, I’m not sure about vaccinations, and they act all surprised when they come down with it. “But COVID is over!” Yeah, nah. Our govts have wished it was over & act like it‘s over. And everybody else followed suit.
Same here where I am, cases are up. Masks have become so vilified it will probably be difficult to get large swaths of the population to have respect them as a key form of barrier defense.
that we (societal) vilified them means we can choose normalizing them instead.

I almost escaped it until I caught it from my mom earlier this year. The one place (other than home) I never wore a mask. I was stupid. ☹️ Now I wear a mask when I visit her.
