Interesting. I'm no expert but I'd imagine it's not terribly difficult. I don't know about those but I remember one of the first projects in college chem lab class was make aspirin from willow bark. It was simple enough to do in a couple hours and like 4-5 steps. I think ibuprofen is chemical cousin
