DIR EN GREY - 愛しさは腐敗につき [eng sub] LIVE HDwww.youtube.com "Itoshisa wa fuhai ni tsuki"; "With decay comes beauty/loveliness", from their TOUR16-17 FROM DEPRESSION TO ______ [mode of Withering to death]. This was a request by Manaatti. I hope you like how it turned out! Translation by me. Annotations: "The dance carries all of the girl" - "Carry" as in "carrying while embracing/holding tight". "My dear friend" - This is an expression often used in letters. "Now let's dance" - This line can also be "Now dance". While this grammar is usually seen as equivalent to the English "let's", it doesn't always have to involve two parties or more. Situations where this grammar is used in that way is e.g. when giving feedback or politely offering to do something for someone. So just keep in mind that while he might be dancing with her, there's a chance it might also be just her. "So no more..." - This required a bit of a loose translation. もう (mou) can have all kinds of nuances, like "already", "anymore", "no more"... "Decay and her dress and the girl with only one leg" - This line I spent the most time on, I think. When I read that the girl had only one leg, I was naturally surprised at this twist (and doubted myself a bit). I then went through Japanese discussions of this song's lyrics, and when people discuss this line they indeed talk about how it might mean that she can't dance anymore because of her losing one leg, or how maybe her passion for dancing is actually painful for her, or how it stands for Kyo having partially lost hearing on his left ear,... --------------- I do not own Dir En Grey or any of their music or performances. I translate for fun and wanted to share this translation. Thank you for watching!
