it's worth noting - for anyone unfamiliar with Texas geography - that if the storm hits in the middle of that path, it's not really going to hurt anyone or anything. there's no more barren and unpopulated stretch of Texas coast than that between Corpus Christi and South Padre Island. it's perfect.
