UWaterloo just released a statement that its encampment will end tomorrow evening, at which point the University will drop its injunction and lawsuit.
Glad to see this end peacefully. (I had just met with lawyers for the protesters to write and sign an affidavit in their defence).
The result comes after several days of negotiations. Always a better way to end these things than (potentially) police violence. Meanwhile, we wait to see how the University will address any potential policies on investment and partnership decisions. Transparency at the minimum is fundamental.
