"this new york time headline is misleading, unfair to post it" also it isn't even misleading, and it's the same piece that gets written every time trump faces mild consequences for anything

“Misleading stuff”? It’s just the headline! (Also, pretty risible to call Doug J a crusader for “resistance Twitter.”)

‘How dare he, specifically, amplify what we did” — well it’s the New York Times, people were gonna notice?

there are times people criticize a piece they haven't read based on the headline, and I get that can be annoying to journalists, but this is a clear case of : take it up with the headline writer!

(Also the headline is fine the piece is precisely what you would expect)

Auditioning for a job at the Times through subservience the same way the Red Tie Brigade auditioned for Trump?

no golden age, but back in the day journalists used to like criticizing other outlets in the spirit of healthy competition and then at some point, for various reasons (including that most outlets closed), they closed ranks

Yet another casualty of market concentration, though in this case lees from lax antitrust enforcement against news outlets and more the decimation of the industry (by under-regulated businesses like FB and Google).
