there really isnt a fountain pen that fully captures the level of primo feel that india ink with dip nibs has. I have an ackerman india ink pen and it's servicable, but too damn leaky and a hard starter by nature. Always approach with caution. wish the indiagraph was cheaper :(

maybe what i need is a inkwell with a wrist attachment for portability, as if holding a palette.

I have dip pens already. The trouble is portability. If you're dipping ink, then you have to carry an ink well with you. And that can be messy or untenable in certain conditions outside of a dedicated workspace.
