In a 1928 publicity stunt, Paramount had Louise dress up in “vintage” outfits from 1900 and 1912 to show how trendy her contemporary fashion styles were in comparison. See the “news” feature in the thread.

Louise featured in the March, 1928, Northwest Poultry Journal (right under the “Clucks and Cacklings” feature). Note the copy detailing the “hot” new phraseology from 1928: “...Make your answer snappy, Big Boy, Leap Year only lasts a year. You will? Zowie, let’s go!”
