I have no idea why Bluesky does not have any sort of verification set up yet, as far as I've seen.

It does, but not in the same way that the... er... previous site... did. Notice how the real @neilhimself.neilgaiman.com ends with "neilgaiman.com" while the imposters ends with "bsky.social" or something similar. The verification process reflects off a record tied to the domain...

Also if Neil is all up in your DMs and mentions, it's not him.
