He ran for governor against Rick Perry in 2006, using the campaign slogans "How Hard Could It Be?", "Why the Hell Not?", "My Governor Is a Jewish Cowboy", and "He Ain't Kinky, He's My Governor." (Alas, he was yet another Friedman I'm not related to.)

Oh NO we lost the Kinkster. Aside from everything he wrote some very funny mystery novels which I loved.
