Writing a thing for the newsletter about how hard it is to get your book reviewed. In case you miss it later, it boils down to this: it’s REALLY hard for many reasons and it often has nothing to do with the quality of your work, so don’t let lack of reviews get you down.
It feels even harder for unknown authors who are published outside of the larger traditional publishers. It seems like review sites are less willing to take a chance on an unknown author or book. I know they get inundated with review requests so it's often a numbers game, but that feeling is there.
