Two lumberjacks (living in absolute poverty) find a crashed plane with no survivors, pillage it in an attempt to improve their lives, but invite tragedy to them instead. This is a incredible and devastating Mexican drama. A little long tbh, but fantastic none the less. A must see IMO 4/5

Pretty accurate portrayal of how shit a little town can be when it comes to the crimes of their most powerful member. This is a solid thriller. 4/5

This giallo is 70% police investigation procedural and 30% the last year of the victims life (as a melodrama). It’s interesting, but I feel it would have been better if it was 30 minutes shorter and just focused on the life of the woman. Not bad, but definitely skippable. 3/5

Partner just came home with this box set. Apparently they got an insane deal on it locally. It was 60% off and they had a 30% off stackable coupon. Pretty excited to dive into this later.

I forgot to tell y’all. An hour before the big event, my partner came home with a surprise gift for me. A maneki-neko or Lucky Cat mug.

Don’t let the poster fool you. I’ve seen around 90 Galli and this is probably the classiest one so far. This isn’t about a string of murders, it’s very strictly about manipulation and backstabbing. Because of this it has more in common with 60’s Galli than 70’s. It’s a essential watch IMO 4/5.
