I maintain one of the reasons Gore lost was because he tried to distance himself from Clinton because of the scandals. Of course the only scandals people remember are the sex ones no one connected to Gore. Which he found insulting, as it implied he couldn't land mistress.

And of course in the end that caused him to have an extramarital affair of his own. It not only ended his presidential run but his marriage.

I'm so out of the loop I didn't even know he had an affair. Wow
