The first bicycle in Eritrea was imported by the Italian military – then an occupying power – in the late 1800s. The sport caught on quickly. At first, bike races were strictly segregated, and Eritreans were not allowed to compete with their colonial rulers.

I’m researching an endangered species right now that was thought to be extinct for about 60 years. It’s so nice reading the old papers talking about how it’s probably extinct and knowing what joy they’ll experience in just a few years when it’s rediscovered. Turns out, the species had just moved.

I am having an absolutely incredible day at an economy themed amusement park for kids in Japan. I don’t know even know where to start. My kids have been doing jobs all day. They’re earning money. Different types of jobs pay different amounts of money. Some, like cheerleading, pay negative money. 😂
