I've been trying to catch up on this. Hard to shake the feeling labels are the end of Bluesky.

Well at the moment I’m actually talking about the gaming labeler and I’ve just realized you might be thinking of the drama with several of the others.

Mine are predominantly for fun and games.

Yeah it’s not always bad or concerning. I know no one knew what it might develop into though. Definitely didn’t see the number of fun and silly ones showing up that fast.

I think it's supposed to mean eaten by a grue - IIRC it's from some super old text-based RPG-like game

I'm always thinking about the potential for bad actors. I know communities on Twitter that would've used this for cruel humour.

In a sense the way of the world? Always potential for bad actors. Labelers run by … anyone… is a very new concept and it’s going to be interesting to see what direction it takes and what ends up being adjusted.
