Also if you’re subscribed to a labeler you do see the labels for people labels have been applied to (though if you don’t subscribe to that labeler you don’t see them.) Also the country one (and there’s also a pronoun labeler) are opt in vs a required field.
Unless everyone promotes and pushes for it? There are ways to get critical mass (and some parts of it are a catch22 - you have to have something that looks like it's going to be reliably around in a year+ but also you have to have something that's been reliably around?) So ... grass roots promoting?
I went ahead and followed the instructions and we'll see what happens. It however looks like it's limited to one country and so your situation of "I've lived these places" aren't accommodated with this labeler.

I think of it like hashtags and retweets. These started as grassroots power moves. Then they were enfolded into the system and became popular.
But the location thing. So much is missing because it's not there. They should've had it from the start.
