been thinking about this since, but i think this year's juneteenth being a wednesday holiday illuminated an immediate need for americans-- a midweek day off to relax [or for yt folk, run errands].

think about it, that week we had: - two day weekend - two day work week - midweek day off - two day work week - two day weekend

for every single person in my found family, family, and extended family, that was their most productive, most relaxing, most blissful week this decade it was like magic

think about it, with a midweek day off families wouldn't have to run errands during lunch. they wouldn't hate mondays and lapse productivity on fridays after lunch. they wouldn't have to push lifesaving relaxation away from the moments where they're most needed

with a midweek day off, there would be less burning the candle at both ends* *mentally/emotionally/physically/socially/professionally

so yeah, i advocate for a 4 day work week. but i think that third day off should be in the middle of the week.
