Spain and England are playing the European football final in a stadium with 77 thousand capacity. Combined population 100million? Clare and Cork will be playing the Ireland hurling final in a stadium with 84 thousand capacity. Combined population, ehm, a lot less.

This was originally written as a input to this discussion "What if there was a CTO forum where people disagreed with consensus? To at least make things interesting." medium.com/o6o-inter... Still, while it's a tad meandering, it does show there's nothing in the Agile Manifesto.
Why “Agile” is complete and utter bollocks. (Part 1)medium.com “Agile” has become received wisdom. Nowadays it’s THE standard way of building software products. “Agile” is more gospel than the Gospels…

The first 242-D registered car I saw Dublin's suburban roads was a 3-litre diesel Land Rover Discovery. Two thoughts. 1. It will NEVER do what's in the picture. 2. The person who bought it does not give a hoot about anything or anyone except themselves.

One of the things that many fleet managers still believe is always true is that electricity is cheaper overnight. And that the fleet should therefore always charge overnight. It just ain't so. Here are some fairly typical GB days recently.

You can take my word for it that there are better options out there nowadays than there used to be. And using them is a much better and more comfortable thing to do than ending up facing a surgeon with a sharpened ice-cream scoop. Or, you can take someone else's word. 1/2

With the tower from the late 700s, the cathedral from the late 1200s, and McDonagh junction a more recent construction, there's stuff in Kilkenny that's changed and stuff that hasn't. But spot the reference to some of the grimmer history. It's never far away in Ireland.

Once again, hurling proves that it is the greatest game in the world. An amateur game and players. An 82,300 stadium full to the brim. And moments like this. Cork and Clare were glorious in the two games. And not a 0-0 draw or fake injury to be seen. www.youtube.com/watc...

There are nice scenes immediately to the north of Dublin Bay too. Here's Portmarnock and Malahide - just to the north.

This is counterproductive in so many ways. It's not even any good for the European car manufacturers. The EU making a mistake that Brexiteers would be pleased with? www.theguardian.com/...

Not for the first or likely for the last time, the UK wakes up to a new government with a massive parliamentary majority and less than 40% of the national vote. It's one way of doing things. www.theguardian.com/...

We keep getting asked. But we believe the question has already been answered. "no statistically significant difference in range degradation between fast charging more than 70% of the time and fast charging less than 30% of the time." www.goeve.com/post/b...

I used to live in the Hague and Barcelona, so my expectations are high. Still, Dublin and Ireland could be doing a LOT more. Dublin ranks 142 in the world. Not terrible. Not great either. cityratings.peoplefo...

Ireland has low rates of violent crime, which is good. A rather nasty case made the news recently. A man got an entirely suspended sentence for seriously assaulting a women in the street. There is, correctly, national outcry. A thought. If I'd been the victim. Outcry? Not?

Have you got your certificates sorted? Here is a fairly major national website that doesn't. Unusual to see it. I'm sure they'll be back online in a bit. Meantime, someone is in hot water. https://adverts.ie/

I've been asking young people in Ireland a question for several years..."So, when is the revolution?". And then pointing out that voting for SF doesn't qualify. Meantime, the same issue burns at the social fabric elsewhere too. Housing. Housing. Housing.
