Heading back from Gifu, Nagoya and Hamamatsu with treasure. Feel honestly a little violated for the prices I paid for these, but I guess someone somewhere knows how much they can squeeze me for with the right product.
In what way? I’ve been after a physical copy of this one for years so just flung money at the shop guy and scarpered without really investigating what makes it special. Didn’t even notice there was a second disc until I looked at it on the train.
When I first heard it I had this kind of melancholy sense of having found it too late, though I probably found it at exactly the right time to appreciate it (I was a pretty clueless teen musically). I’m curious now about what all the extra stuff is.
I think in my case I hadn't quite broken out of my teenage Britpop bubble. It was crazy, discovering years later and from thousands of miles away, that there'd been bands like Movietone, FSA etc. doing all this wonderful, secret stuff on my doorstep in Bristol.
