One of the strangest things about that event is hearing one of the other DJs playing something like One More Time by Daft Punk and thinking, "Holy fuck, was that this century?" (whether it's indie or not is a fight I won't enter).
Last time I was invioted to play the event, I remember feeling guilty for playing Life Without Buildings and Ikara Colt for the same reason. Even as it was coming out of the speakers, I felt like I was cheating because it all felt so much like music from another era entirely.
