Acolyte ruled and I would like there to be another season.

I don't know a ton about Toxic Avengers (I've seen the first movie, and for some reason I LOVED the Toxic Crusaders cartoon as a kid) but this looks very very good.

I’m sorry but I love Star Trek Enterprise. This episode has the Enterprise getting hijacked by anti-science space fundamentalists and it’s like if you wrote a script based on an atheism flame war on a forum in 2003.

Rewatching the first A Quiet Place and it's really notable how much some its early scenes look like current day Trad posting.

Trying to think of the last time a pop artist misjudged literally every aspect of an album rollout as hard as Katy Perry did today and the only thing I can come up with is… Katy Perry and her singles off Witness. None of which were as awful as the new one is.

I do not think the new Captain America movie looks good (though I know I'm going to see it opening day so who cares!) but it is funny how much Hulk stuff gets apportioned out to other characters for these movies. And yes I know it's a legal thing wrt making a Hulk movie, it's just funny.

I’ve always been interested in Magneto thinking about Thor this way. I don’t know if it’s ever followed up on elsewhere, but I like the idea that he’s like okay mutants rule but credit to Thor for being a literal god I GUESS.

I don’t know why (maybe because Sal Buscema makes me think “70s”?) but I was so taken aback that this 1984 Hulk issue explicitly shows that Bruce and Kate had sex! An unmarried couple in a comic an unsuspecting 80s child might buy!😱Scandal!

For some reason Defenders turns into a Son of Satan book for a handful of issues. Could not care less about the character but the little pitchfork sign he makes with his fingers to transform is just *adorable*

I'm not as familiar w/ Zulli's work as I should be, but his TMNT story ("Soul's Winter") is beautiful and upsetting, a comic I think about a great deal.

We lost Michael Zulli today. Beautiful, lyrical, mystical storyteller, he was part of the BW Boom of the 80s with his PUMA BLUES, he drew some gorgeous stuff for SANDMAN, and a startlingly fun book about Alice Cooper. All that’s just for starters. Some people, you think will always be out there.

I enjoy the Acolyte a great deal, and also, if they had dispensed with all the nuance and just made it a revenge series from Mae's POV where she kills a new Jedi every week, that would also have ruled.

My personal opinion is that I wish the dragons on House of the Dragon could just be friends and fly around having good times instead of dealing with all these crazy people riding them around.

Watching Michael Bay’s TMNT - a movie I saw in the theater and remember literally nothing about - and Tony Shalhoub as Splinter is just very funny casting.

Phew! Acolyte is my favorite of the Star Wars shows after Andor, by far.

Look I love Godzilla 1954 and Minus One and the exploration of real life 20th century horrors and how they impacted vulnerable people. But Godzilla vs King Ghidora going all-out bonkers makes it my favorite G film of all time and I’m not even sure it’s close.

Tom Reilly on the Joe series is extremely good news. I thought Duke was just okay, story-wise, but Reilly's art was superb throughout.

Responding to recent news, I checked DC Unlimited this morning to see if they have Elfquest, which is how I learned that DC hasn't published Elfquest in nearly 20 years. Live and learn!

Last night's Acolyte was very cool and good.

Mr. Terrific translating so well to a live-action costume reminds me that possibly the best recent instance of a superhero suit 1) translated into live action, and 2) intended to look like its print counterpart is John Cena in Peacemaker - a great series in which he looked incredible.
