Watching The Happiest Season is really good motivation when writing a sapphic Christmas story because OMG how do you have Kristen Stewart, Audrey Plaza, and Dan Levy and FAIL THAT HARD!

We wanted a sweet queer sapphic Hallmark holiday film and you gave us a TRAVESTY!

I'm still mad because THAT WAS NOT A HAPPY ENDING! Kristen Stewart should have left the girlfriend and got with Audrey Plaza.

I saw Louie’s repost of this before I saw the original post naming the movie and I IMMEDIATELY knew it was about Happiest Season. She doesn’t end up with Aubrey Plaza?? The credits epilogue thinks I should be happy the father won his political race??? Oh no no.

The best way to make it a HEA was so obvious to EVERYONE except the writers and directors of that film.

And then I had people in my mentions trying to gaslight me into liking this film.

Kristen Stewart in this movie is that queer friend who is in an awful relationship and we just want to take them aside and tell them they can do better.

It’s so bad. And I was truly surprised at how many people liked it.

I had so many people telling me that I'M WRONG! The gaslighting was REAL!

I wish I still had my Twitter live watch of it because I’m probably forgetting a lot of the things that I hated. In 2023 I watched 43 Xmas movies and I ranked it 35th. Just above Santa’s Slay which is a truly terrible movie.

Ooh, god it was awful. The biggest thing that stuck out to me is that the girlfriend literally shoved Kristen in a closet so she wouldn't get caught with her. CHILE!

And Mackenzie Davis has been iconic in other things (especially Halt and Catch Fire) and her character was such a wet blanket. I blame the writing but Clea Duvall and Mary Holland should be better and funnier and more queer. Ooooof.

I was shook that it was queer writers behind that mess. Someone should have taken them aside and told them NO!
