Yep, it's totally enshittified these days. I still use it to stay in touch with friends and I'm in some interest groups but in public threads the spammers and astroturfing accounts are intolerable.
Facebook basically threw in the towel completely when Threads was launched, though it had been in a horrible decline for years previous. Now it's just a mess of Crypto scammers, hacked accounts, and bad actors trying to con people into divulging details about themselves to compromise their security.
I barely even bother going there anymore, aside to touch base with some friends every so often. I also check through friend accts to see if they're still active and remove the ones that aren't. Because those typically just get hacked, then you get DMs from them with phishing links.
