Like, I just can't overstate this. There is all the difference in the world between Harris running because Biden dropped out because Trump beat him in a debate, and Harris running because Biden died.
The only way to make this situation worse is to give Trump the ability to say "I punched him so hard he had to quit the presidency in shame, and they had to send out their second string"
to be extremely fair, I *guess* I could see him overplaying that and setting Harris up to knock him out at *their* debate, idk... still don't think that makes up for starting her in an extremely compromised position overall
