A supermarket trip may soon look different, thanks to electronic shelf labelswww.npr.org With electronic shelf labels, prices can change up to six times a minute. Grocers including Walmart, Whole Foods and Schnucks are adopting them.

Why would I scan the electronic shelf tag with my phone to read details already printed on the box/bag/can???
