Three years ago, a routine mammogram saved my life. Off for my yearly checkup today, and hoping I'm still in the clear. Anyone due for their checkup this month, please don't put it off - early diagnosis really makes all the difference...
I just had my skin checked they found something but it wasn't cancer the Doc said if I had waited 10 more year it would have been Cancer.
Get your checks in early people.
Had my 2nd yearly follow up one about a month ago; somewhat sweaty week waiting for the results which were clear.
Very much focuses the mind on appreciating the here and now.
Good luck!
Got my 3D one scheduled for early next month. I have dense tissue and a family history, so I can't afford to skip them. I've got most of my appointments for next year scheduled too, so I don't forget them.
It was an endocrinologist who saved mine: my mammo showed what was thought to be cancerous tumors:
Was sent by oncologist then to the endocrinology. Anti depressers taken during my painful divorce were at cause, I was told to STOP IMMEDIATELY.
The kists disappeared
In a perfect world, your second post in this thread would have begun by describing the time bomb which was located in your breast and the race against time which the city's bomb disposal team faced in order to defuse it before it blew up tge whole hospital.
I'd also add, go see a doctor ASAP if you find anything on your breasts that seems unusual. My wife discovered that she had breast cancer not because she noticed a lump, but because she noticed a weird puckering on the underside.
