There are ongoing efforts to compare the death toll in Gaza to Ukraine, usually as an attempt to downplay atrocities in Ukraine. As per UN, we don't know what the actual civilian toll is in Ukraine. What we do know is that Russia, like Israel and Hamas, has committed serious war crimes.

I can't recall another situation where I was this anxious to go to sleep because of what will have happened by the time I wake up. Thinking of the many thousands of innocents in Gaza, including the hostages whose lives now appear to be considered acceptable losses by their own government.

Unfortunately the "mute thread" function doesn't seem to work very well on here.

I fear EU leaders may wake up tomorrow morning and realise they left it too late to take meaningful action on Gaza.

Still getting to grips with this site as I struggle to extricate myself from The Other Place, but can anyone guide me as regards how to build feeds/lists?
