My dad got me a sub for my 9th birthday. The first issue had an Oil Can Boyd cover story, and reading it so many times is now a delightful little memory of a player whose name I've stumbled across maybe...twice...since then.

Completely at a loss to understand how the owners could screw this up so badly. Yes it's a business but this is what happens when ownership has zero interest in what they own, other that how much profit it makes.

You were the first person I thought of. I will never forget when you got the call-up from the Star. I was simultaneously sad to lose you on the local beat, and in awe that everyone was gonna see how great our guy was. You made the most of it, and more. Sorry for your loss today.
