That is true. I’ve just been seeing more chatter from folks choosing to make threads their “home” app. Nothing wrong with that……but it comes with a price. Namely being in the Facebook ecosystem. What you said, the majority of people still don’t understand.😣🤷🏽
Yeah that's true, I want more people to actually enable it, seems like only techie accounts (since they have a rough idea/know what the Fediverse is).
Luckily it looks like Meta actually wants to work on making this better though, reading an interview rn which came out today (with Insta's CEO)
