Something I urge everyone to do is create their own website. Doesn't matter how, whether you pay a host or set up something small (and very limited) for free; it's worth the effort. Social media platforms get the traffic, sure, but that ship is leaky. A website is a lifeboat.

You don't have to use it to sell anything, it's just about creating a personalised space online. Something that the commonly-used platforms have zero control over.

As someone who got a website URL back in the early 00's, I can endorse this. I rarely update mhho.com, but it's mine and nobody will take it away. For $20 a month, I have a little piece of the internet, all to myself! I use Host Dime for my server provider, if anyone is interested.

Yep, I have my own website on a Raspi @ home. It might be a little too technical for most people to host it from home (mainly because a FTTH box is preferred & you need to dabble into SSL cert & other tech issues) but when any platform is out or decide to boot you away ? You still got a place...

Do you know of any that allow us to display our portfolio of nsfw art by chance? Many I have tried to find seem to be against nsfw media and it is tricky to find any website host that allows it.

Agreed. It's nice to know my posts/images aren't likely to disappear due to a faulty reporting system that bad actors misuse.

For sure. A few years ago I redid my site on wordpress- which I don't like a lot about. But it has a comic viewer, lets me sell things. And I'm not going to get hidden because I put my god damned links on it.

Where would you recommend outta curiosity?

I have my personal website (from 1995) which hasn’t been updated in over a decade, and a personal domain which I currently only use for email (no web presence).
