‘Scavengers Reign’ Season 1 Heads to Netflix After Cancellation at Max, Season 2 Not Yet Greenlit (EXCLUSIVE)variety.com 'Scavengers Reign' has been canceled by Max. The series will soon begin streaming on Netflix, though the streamer has not yet picked up a Season 2.

If you are a fan of plants, and horror, and science fiction, friend this is not to be missed. If there was any justice in this world, this show would be getting a live action adaptation directed by Danny Boyle.

I desperately hope this gets a second season. Some of the most beautiful animation in years with one of a kind world building and story telling. Predictably Zaslav has 0 respect for anything that doesn’t print $$ (esp animated) and cancelled it.

But like, def not for the faint of heart. Some real great but disconcerting body horror in this one.

It was beautiful, strange, unsettling, fascinating, and absolutely unlike anything else I’ve ever seen. I still think of it months after watching. Highly recommend for fans of sci-fi and animation.

I find it amazing when a studio cancels a show after not trying to do anything with it. Even on Max, the show is extremely difficult to find anywhere outside of the US. I couldn’t even find a way to buy it. Happy that it’s coming to Netflix.
