So, Tenacious D have broken up as a band, in Australia, today. All booked shows have been cancelled. All future tours & ‘creative plans’ are done. Because Kyle made a joke on stage at the Sydney show: ‘Don’t miss him next time’. Two of my friends saw the last ever Tenacious D show, on Sunday.

While I have a moment of lucidity, I’ve come to tell you, only a few more hundred hours & I’ve played Baldur’s Gate 3 as much as I’ve played Fire Emblem Three Houses. Which is to say, a fuckload.

Back at work today & feeling as shit as I did on Friday. My kingdom for a decent sleep.

COVID symptoms have returned to me, today. I feel weak, exhausted, sinuses are clogged with a headache. My hope to have this shit over by today has been dashed quite thoroughly. Wee…

Hey! I’m mostly human again! A slight headache, coughing up shit, sometimes & my throat doesn’t feel 100% right but other than that, I’m feeling alright! Fuck COVID, man…

As a fan of Metal & a Death Metal vocalist of a couple of bands, I hate Metallica. Almost as much as I hate Slayer. Thrash Metal, as they used to be before Black Album, isn’t for me. I’m also not a guitarist. I’m a trained vocalist & thrash metal has some of the worst, most untrained vocalists.

I know St. Anger is probably the most reviled Metallica album but if you are not a fan of the band it’s incredibly funny that every song is eight minutes long with no solos, trash can drums, and lyrics like this delivered completely earnestly.

I’m fucking miserable because of COVID but you know what I’ve been thinking about recently? One of my favourite consoles, ever. The DSi. Did you have a DSi? Tell me about it. I could use the distraction.

Ten to 1am & I can’t sleep because my dumbdumb COVID brain is playing tricks on me. It’s completely dark in the bedroom, yet I see things whether my eyes are open or closed. Stupid fever. Stupid COVID.

I’m going to die of Silicosis-related Cancer so, whatever man.

Felt noticeably better, this morning. Still not good but okay. Washed the dishes, made lunch & now I’m absolutely fucked. That was all the energy I had. Time to do nothing else with my day.

Guess who has COVID, again? I literally don’t know how this is possible. My joints ache, today. My throat hurts. My head hurts. All for a lil’ babbi line. My wife’s line was more pronounced, so I’m blaming her. I feel that’s appropriate.

Who invited an Australian onto the GDQ stage? Nothing but naughty words. It’s our way of life.

That Super Metroid race during Games Done Quick was Captain CooCoo Banana-pants. I’m feeling so sick & it was difficult to keep up with but man, it was amazing.

Chicken Katsu Curry, including the powder. Because I did the powder, I accidentally made it quite spicy. It’s damn tasty though. Chucked in some apple, as well.

That Lufia II run in Games Done Quick, was spectacular. A game, I’m only marginally familiar with due to an ancient video from Roo, Clan of the Grey Wolf. I love those long RPG Speedruns.

Pride is an interesting concept. Something you feel due to an achievement, you hold dear. What is something you are proud of, in yourself? I have pride in my vocal ability & music production, knowledge & understanding. I’ve worked very hard to gain the knowledge I have & It makes me smile.

Watched Mike stream for 12 straight hours for charity. Played Baldur’s Gate 3 with my wife for the rest of the day. Ordered & ate pizza. Played with & cuddled my rabbit. Good Sunday.
