I’m stuck in a long as line at the pharmacy and Coldplay is playing. This is quite possibly hell.

It’s 9am and my spouse is trying to play his playlist and all it’s playing is Disney songs. I just heard him yell at the Alexa “if I wanted to hear this I would go to Disneyland!”

Was in the drive-thru trying to order dinner and my 4yo starts yelling for me to turn up the music because it was “his jam”. Guys, it was Miami by Will Smith. Which apparently he knows most of the words to. I’m a good parent.

I’m playing around in Adobe Firefly making ai versions of my characters for fun. And y’all, it keeps giving my vampire guy a cape. Like every time.

No Ren Faire for us this year. We waited too long and the last two weekends are sold out. I don’t know who will be more disappointed, me or the kids.

Here’s a fun writer’s fact about me: The first manuscript I ever finished was a nonfiction account of the campus riots in the wake of the Kent State Massacre. It was part of my research work at a small museum. Now I write romance with slow burns and spicy scenes. I contain multitudes.

I’ve been working on book 4 of my series and my dad ended up helping me get past my writers block. Now, however, every time I talk to him he keeps doing this thing where he sings “I am your muse”, while dancing in his seat. He’s insufferable and I am not longer dedicating this book to him!

I finished the Secret Society of Irregular Witches last night, and it easily one of the coziest books I’ve ever read. Highly recommend for your October reading list.

I love a good Alice in Wonderland retelling. Make it spicy, even better. But when you name it the Jabbercock, I just can’t. I read that, said nope, and stopped mid page. That’s a DNF for me.
