What does “bad” mean? It’s not anti society when the society in question is fueled by greed and imperialism.
People are motivated by their material conditions (wealth, power) and it’s something no one is immune to. Including people not explicitly “on the right”

This type of simplistic moralism falls apart like a wet paper bag when you tell these people that conservatives believe the exact same thing - and feel it just as strongly - in the opposite direction. All you’re left with (absent material analysis) is just “yuh huh!!” and “nuh uh!!!!”
They’re just re-inventing Crusader idealism. My side is good and ordained, your side is bad and condemned - and this justifies the righteousness of my politics. They can’t ever make a material argument because it would expose them as simple ideologues.
