someday I'll get a real camera instead of a $150 phone that can't ever focus on the right thing and my flower pictures will be so great. you'll see. you'll all see
I find my phone puts some weird auto filters/sharpening etc on my photos, no clear way to turn it off too, it sucks.
Photography cameras all the way, its a fun hobby!
I was once taking photos of my passport to send in for an ID check and it was putting automatic fucking glamour filters on my face, like adding makeup and blurring out freckles etc??? WTF are you doing Google photos
I recommend setting the aspect ratio back to 4:3, as that's the full sensor, you're using FULL which crops in, 2ndly, if you can, use manual mode (of course if you understand it)
Your pics seem fine, you might be able to get more with manual mode though. If not, good 2nd cameras are cheap
As for the not focusing thing, it might be that you're too close, many cheaper phones, heck, even expensive phones have a poor macro ability, clunking out (failing to focus) at mere inches
oh yeah it doesn't do close-up at all. but it also doesn't autofocus correctly, and tapping the screen doesn't do anything, it'll hone in for a second and then unfocus again haha. it's a terrible phone
There are clip-on macro lenses for phones, though I haven’t used one in quite some time.
Olloclip went out of business, but there are others that range from 10 bucks on up into 100+, depending on budget and needs.
i've tried to fix this, but it doesn't seem to even HAVE the option to set aspect ratio 😭 i've also tried manual mode, but i'm not quite good enough at that stuff to do it quickly, and the sliders are like...obnoxiously tiny, so it's really really hard to get it to where you want it to be with lmao
