The thing I hate about all of this is that the Israel arms selling occurs as they wage a war of aggression, all the while basically undercutting Ukraine as they continue to be invaded. I appreciate that Biden is also giving to Ukraine but like god damn it they should be getting 100% not a fraction.

Oh I didn't see that!!!! Congress needs to step up on Ukraine, we're arming a country flattening entire neighborhoods while slow walking aid to another country that has had its cities flattened. The policy incoherence in giving Israel carte blanche and starving Ukraine is astonishing.

There's no policy incoherence, House Republicans support Israel and Russia

No question that it's consistent for them ideologically, but it's incoherent from a national security perspective. The tension between those two things exists and is important for understanding why they'd be willing to abandon an ally.
