There is real antisemitism happening that is targeting Jewish people and students. There is also a huge propaganda issue with anti-israel/Zionism protests being falsely equates with "antisemitism" to shut down any criticism of Israel or its government/military actions. Both of these things are true.

so the solution is to curb criticism of israel and support for Palestinians. this is essentially what is happening now.

That is not at all what I said. But actual, legitimate antisemitic attacks should also not be ignored. Unfortunately, they are poisoning that well.

Agreed. Stefanik's aim was to discredit institutions of higher learning in the public's eye (including her Alma Mater).

These college presidents make more money than sin Ken, have lawyers & staff up the wazzo to prep them and every village idiot in the country knew how confrontational congress would be. No pity from me for them being so spectacularly unprepared.

i think this was a trap to bolster reactionary power AND that ivy-league universities deserve the scorn they receive. their complicity in american hegemony at the expense of minority groups plus rampant classism are barriers to furthering education.

Maybe because they’re politicians and not academics who only study politics from a safe distance?

You only win when you gang up on Harvard. There’s no downside for a politician. Even Harvard grads know that!
