Set up for my 1st solo play of, The Witcher Old World. I don’t have the solo expansion, it annoys me a bit that there is a solo expansion that came with the KS but not in retail box. Why not give a mass market the best version possible? I’m still stoked tho.

I played my 1st game of Fractured Sky. It’s good medium/light game. I won on easy 10/5/4 against 2 AI players. It does add a little deduction, not the same as a real player, but it’s there.

I just finished my first play of Conservas and I won! I built my bag 1st and then capacity and then I got 2 excellent bonus cards, great little solo game. I ended with $69, 10 Sardines and 6 Scallops

I was watching a few different top 100 lists and I thought, “wouldn’t it be awesome to have one of your games on a few peoples top 100 lists”. Must be pretty cool.

I just filmed a play through of, For Northwood! from Sideroom Games, with Art & design by Wil Su. I’ll edit tomorrow and probably drop it on Monday. It’s a great game!

I’m organizing some prototypes, Vintage: a connoisseur’s trick taking game, it’s a good game! Feral Cat Furenzzi, almost fully developed. My Trick taking golf game, it’s good as well!

New games!

I’m finished the 1st round of my 3rd solo play test. I’m playing 3 handed and I am using all of the mechanics. The 1st round is still about gathering resources and bonus actions . It’s working pretty well. #boardgames

The game is called, Oolicon City, now here is the game with the new 2/3 player board and the new zone bonus cards. I haven’t done a play through yet, I’ll get to it later. I need to work on some art (I’m an artist). #boardgames

The Player Boards 2.0 and the new Zeppelin system with standees. The cards are pretty much the same except the Attack / (alternate action) cards are now asymmetrical. I’ll set up the board for a 3 player game later, literally everything else has been iterated on! #boardgamesofinstagram

Here are the notes from my 2nd playtest, I’ve iterated since then but haven’t done a 3rd test yet. I’m a professional artist so art gets in the way sometimes ;) #boardgames also I think I’m going to change the name of the game to Oolicon City!

This is my side board game shelf with my Final Girl collection.

I’m working on something new, it’s a solo trick taking game that uses dice,fulfilling contracts, set collection. The solo trick taking I worked on awhile back but it wasn’t quite there. I’ve added few mechanics that add a lot to the game. I am thinking about the BGG solo PnP contest for this one.

I have an idea for the next Alien movie. Similar to Project Grizzly, but here a dude iterates on a suit so he can hang out with the aliens. It would be a comedy/scifi/maybe found footage? #blockbuster

I completed the 3rd round of my 2nd solo 4 player play test. I have a lot of notes for this iteration. I don’t feel the need to finish the game. I need to play at a lower player count so I can wrap my head around it better. I have a good idea of how it plays at 4 player.

This is the next iteration of the game board for Red Sky (working title). In my last play test there were too many empty hexes on the board, so I’ve tightened up the board quite a bit. I initially wanted a 5 player game and not knowing how it would play, I made a board with too many hexes.

2nd round of second solo 4 handed play test is done. Quite a few units have been deployed and the player boards are working well. I keep forgetting to grab zone bonuses tho.

I’m beginning my 2nd, four handed solo, play test. I made quite a few tweaks and I’m excited to try it out. Tho playing a 4 handed solo isn’t so much fun when there is a lot of hidden information

These are my notes from my 1st solo 4 handed play test. I’ve addressed all of them and will do another test tonight. The main issue with the solo play test is that this is a highly interactive game. So I’m mostly seeing how things work but not seeing how players will interact.

After my 1st play there are a lot of tweaks to the game. The first tweak is the game board, there were way too many production spaces and players could just find a zone and hide out there. So I split up the zones and moved them around a bit. I’m also going to play around with end game bonuses.

I played a full 4 handed solo game of Red Sky at Dawn. I didn’t use the round bonuses because it was a lot. The main mechanics work well but there are a lot of tweaks to be made. I love the first play of a game, it’s so rough, like a 1st draft of a story. I forget to get a picture of complete game
