As well-meaning publishers try to navigate the coming storm of state laws against diversity, I hope they'll consider Timothy Snyder's Rule #1 (from his slim book ON TYRANNY).
This is why the whole "We need guns to prevent tyranny" argument is dumb to me. Most countries that have had tyrannical governments welcomed them with applause, not resistance. Nazi Germany is the best example. Franco Spain is really the only one I can think of with significant pushback.
