Counterpoint: Etsy messages is where someone told me I was an "enemy of science" because I put a Tyrannosaurus tag on a product featuring Nanuqsaurus with a fluffy feathery coat because _no one_ outside of niche Tyrannosaur people know wtf a Nanuqsaurus is and I only had so many tags to work with
Gods…yeah. I’m kinda sick of the “don’t do this, do this instead.” thing. Like i get it with some rules if you want to draw photorealistic or whatever but i often see these under comics or cartoons and i’m like…just let me have FUN please 😔
I mean it’s super fair to share your own way of working/ artistic preferences in little tutorials and such for the people who care. Just without a comparison or putting other styles down. This person should have just done so instead.
