i think i've done like 5 iterations of my config and only now do i feel mostly happy with it... it's an endless ordeal lmao

lol same basically i used to have it so organized since i originally had the intent to use the config on my desktop and laptop (and potentially a server) and now i just throw stuff wherever.. its a mess

my key insight from this last attempt is to first implement whatever i'm doing to just one machine and generalize it when i need to. worrying about making it perfect for all my machines just stops me from doing anything at all...
