So this actually started because I wanted to make a reincarnation of this old piece, from 2012. I started pretty close to the original but decided to push the lighting further & further. Eventually I had came up with the dramatic golden hour version, but then I felt like it needed an opposite.
The Ornithocheirus felt round, bright and soft, a golden silhouette surrounded by cotton candy clouds. So I decided to do a mirror opposite under the same theme, a pointy Pteranodon under a dark, gloomy sky with unsettling colors and an almost mirrored composition.
