Last week, I returned to St. Pete for Eckerd's Writers in Paradise where I have taught every year since 2006, except for the remote years of '21 and '22. One of my former and best students introduced my reading with a reading in its own right. Oh & he got an agent this week. youtu.be/mSyZTqv23Hs

Tomorrow marks two years since the death of Terry Teachout. It feels like 10 to me. Terry was such a good friend, who took exceptional care of me 2020-2021, when his griefs were so much larger than mine. I talk to him in my head all the time. I suspect hundreds, thousands, feel the same.

We've had the traditional Chinese dinner and we're now watching a holiday classic, Hot Fuzz.

My kid has no idea what awaits tomorrow, in part because she never comes downstairs after 8 p.m. because she is upstairs quietly loathing me as all teens must.
