if we started using rowling as an insult, would that be satisfying or triggering?
because using body parts - frequently sexist
anything to do with cognitive faculties - ableist
excretions - sets off my synesthesia...

what's safe to say anymore? rowling certainly doesn't ask herself that question, and maybe neither should anybody else.
the other thing is any word can be an insult if the other person feels it.
I do know. But we can’t give every word so much power, nor can we keep giving other people’s wounding that much power.
There’s as many triggers in this world as their are bumholes and nipples.
Repurposing her name as insult is a marvelous idea. Take humor and rightful jabs where you can, I say!

like, i am triggered by my bullies name but i'm not gonna tell my friends not to say the word "ruby"...
but if a person with an earing disorder says "pls say "marathon" instead of "binge"" i am gonna respect that!
I see what you mean. And definitely not taking anything here confrontational. The slope is so slippery to me. I appreciate that people like you (willing people; separate from privilege identifiers) take the time to fare thru it.
