I need to remember that my relationship with karaoke is the same as my relationship with cocaine. I know I can refrain from it - even if it’s in the same room as me - but the second I begin to dabble, I will do it until it’s not longer fun
I’m glad I’m getting better at limiting harder drugs to special occasions, which used to mean “someone happens to have it” but now means “am I in a safe enough place physically and mentally to do this”. Only took two decades of drugs use
